Friday 21/05/10

I am making two playlists. One is called How Modern Do You Want It. It's for driving up the coast in California. The other is callled Weak As I Am. It's for driving into the desert in California. Saying that, I don't like the name for the second one much. Any recommendations?

Either way, please include a few Girls Aloud standards here and there, thanks.

I can see Untouchable or Call The Shots in the desert one

Palm Springs (fail)...isn't the desert getting to be a little warm this time of year? Hit up Joshua Tree...awesome scenery.

See, I like these. I KNEW

I almost want to put together a playlist for every name suggested that I like now. But I would have to be here all day. Oh wait

Dry bones and just desserts.

Agreeing with Toby: You can't go wrong with Call The Shots. I was thinking "It's All Mine" by World Party and "OK" by Pete Francis for your quieter desert jams. Are you road tripping? You might dig the Salton Sea.

kolifornea: Can I spell that "just deserts"?

Of course; deserts is the correct spelling--I misspelled it even after looking it up in Wiki. Sounds like desserts but spelled deserts.

I'd go with the next line in the song "No Tears For You."

LP: You were toying with 'Weak As I Am', I suggested the next line in that song, "No Tears for You."

That is, assuming you were referencing Skunk Anansie and not something else!

jake: Of course! Apols for being slow

'Havalina' and 'The Happening' by the Pixies have always struck me as very driving-into-the-desert kind of songs.
